I have narrowed this down to be a sp4 issue w/ usb 2.0 and
not so much a hardware problem. Upon a cold boot windows
does not detect the mouse unless you unplug it and plug it
back in. The pc is an HP D530U (ultra-slim) w/ usb only,
no legacy ports.
The only way that I could get the mouse working properly
was to recreate the image w/ either sp3. Once sp4 is
installed, Win doesn't detect the mouse during boot. Has
anyone else had this problem? If so I would appreciate any
input. I've done the following:
1. Updated the chipset and inf drivers directly from Intel
2. Windows Update
3. Disabled any shared IRQ's
Thanks,
Matt
