VPN on home network

I have 2 desktops and 1 laptop all running Win2000. They
are all on the same network. Due to the fact that my
father is not great at computers I want to be able to
create a VPN to his machine via my laptop. I have a
little program that allows control over another computer
on the network called WinVNC. I want to be able to talke
control of his machine via a VPN and using the WinVNC.
All the newsgroup postings I have read relate to Win 2000
servers. Is is possible to do it on a normal version of
Win 2000?

I would use realvnc over a secure socket layer (ssl). If you do a google
search for vnc over ssl using putty you'll find step by step instructions.

Realvnc provides the remote control while Putty provides the secure layer.
Both are free.
