VPN disconnect after ~2mins (with SP2 & 3)

Barry

I have an Incoming VPN configured on a WinXP Pro PC (ie as the server).
and am using a Win XP Pro PC as the client.

It makes * authenticates the connection and I can access shared files, but
it disconnect after ~2mins.

Microsoft, say this/similar was fixed in SP2, but I am running SP3 on the
server, and SP2 on the client (I have also tried SP3 on the client) but
still disconnects.

Both server and client are behind nat routers.

Can anyone help?

Hi Robert,
A bit deep!! for me.
If I provide a liitle info perhaps you could guide me as to where to look
first.

Both clients & server are as inbuilt into WinXP.

Server is WInXP Pro SP3
Client A is WinXP Pro SP2
Client B is WinXP Home SP3

Inside my test lab (ie inside its nat router):
Client A can VPN successfully to (incoming VPN) on Client B
" B " " " " " " " "
A

When trying to connect to the remote server (inside its nat router):
Client A authenticates, but VPN drops after about ~2 mins
Client B " " " " " " ~1:35 secs
(I can lead this from its event log)

Incidentally:
Client A can VPN successfully to another, separate Corp Server (running
Server 2003)
