VPN connection

I have a costumer that uses a Windows XP Professional pc (notebook) connected
to their domain. He also have a VPN connection on this for external use.
When he uses a modem connection from another location, calling an ISP
number, and connects to the VPN he can use terminal server and everything is
ok. But, when he want´s to map network drives on their server via a
ip-address the server responds that he don´t have correct login credentials
(password) for the share.

What is wrong, and.. is he able to do this?!?!

The biggest problem I have had with VPN is when the remote network is on the
same IP range as me. Like if my network is 192.168.2.x and I am dialing
into a network with 192.168.2.x I have conenction problems. Could that be
the problem he is having?

Hi, no... it´s not that kind of problem. Connection works and everything is
ok. But, he want´s to map network drives.. and when he try, he must enter
username and password for the share. But, he already have a domain acount
that he login with on the computer. Why does not this username and password
working "automatically"? ?
