Volume/Recording Control Settings Do not Persist

J

James Kerekes

Hello,

I'm having difficulties changing settings on the windows volume/recording
control. Basically, as soon as I change anything and close off the control
window, the settings revert back to their respective defaults.

Specifically - I'm trying to select 'MIC' as the recording device under the
'recording control'.

The machine is Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed. (although I've
also seen similar behaviour on an XP box with only SP1).

The sound controller is a SoundMax onboard device.

Any ideas?

thanks in advance,

James

That recorder is only good for 30 or 60 seconds,30 i believe.Try downloading
windows encoder 9 series, you can then record as long as you wish, and with
more sound(s) input types.
