Visual Studio 2005 Custom Control Designer Support

Hi

I've been trying to find information on how designer support for custom
controls have been changed for VS2005.

More specifically, I'm puzzled by the fact the a large number of sites
describes how custom controls are supported in VS2003 using the
System.CF.Design.RuntimeAssemblyAttribute but I can't seem to find
anything on how this has changed for VS2005. I can find the
System.CF.Design.dll in the VS2005 installation so the whole "build a
design and a runtime" version of my assembly does seem to be the way
for VS2005 (or what?)

All this comes from a desire to view our custom controls "live" in the
forms designer and not just as "dead" controls, that is, the custom
painting taking effect.

If any of you guys out there have any pointers or comments they are
more than welcome
