Visual C++ on XPE

Anyone know the trick to get Visual C++ running under
XPE? I searched the NGs and the only solution I could
find was not to use the mouse during install. I get a
crash as soon as I hit the first "next" button. I cannot
use remote debugging on the system - its only for
temporary debugging. Any ideas?

Even though it is unclear why you can't use remote debugging which would definitely be easier way than installing VC at run time,
have you tried this:
