Since downloading the Beta for Vista and Defender I've had many problems with
my programs. I'd like to uninstall and return to XP. Can you advise me how?

Yup, you should format your hard drive/ the partition vista is on. That will
get rid of vista. Then you must reinstall xp. Its a simple process,
especially because xp setup can format the drive for you.

First you may need to reset the drive root permissions to allow you to
format it from XP.
