Vista Windows Update Error 80070103

I have tried installing an update that I cannot seem to delete after numerous
failed attempts. When I try to update, I get error 80070103 fails. It
appears to be for CXT-NETWORK-PCI Soft Data Fax Modem w/Smart CP. I don't
even know what this is or if it is even necessary. I would love some kind of
fix to simply get rid of this option. Every time I shutdown it tries
downloading to no avail, Thanks in advance!

If relating to a driver - the driver you are trying to install is already
installed or the driver that you're trying to install is an older driver
than the one you have already.

All drivers should be obtained from the manufacturer's site rather than from
Windows Update.

If this driver is not applicable to your system etc, then hide the update.

Within Vista Update, to hide an update...

1. Click View available updates
2. Right-click on the update you wish to hide
3. Click Hide Update
4. Confirm the UAC if needed
