vista-windows mail and mcafee problems

i have a new computer running vista. my emails are received by windows mail
and the computer is protected by mcafee.
sending mail i receive a time out message but it does eventually go.
receiving mail i receive an error message (err in valid command port 110
secure ssl no server error ox800ccc90 error no ox800ccc15)
in windows mail bottom right hand corner it shows an error yellow sign or
connecting
if i power down comlpletely i do receive e mail for a short time.
can anyone help with this problem

McAfee is incompatible with Vista.
Uninstall it and use...

Remove the email integration of MacAfee from Windows Mail. Better still uninstall MacAfee completely and use something like AVG or Avast free.

If you disable the incoming and outgoing email scanning from MacAfee you should be back on track

hello julian thank you for your help . i removed mcafee and installed (avast
4 free )all my problems with email have gone.

I have a new Computer and I get the same error mesage I can not receive mail
only send no one seems to be able to fix it can you receive mail
