Since installing Vista SP1 windows denies access to my second SATA HDD.

saying:

Location is not available
E:\ is not accessible.
The device is not connected.

The drive was working great until SP1 install rebooted the system.

Can anyone help? or has microshaft done it again?

Presumably both these refer to E:
And since it shows in My Computer how or with what are you tring to access
it?

Fixed now. had to uninstall drive thru Device Manager, reboot and reinstall
drive.

If I bought a Ford and had to trouble shoot the psoblems, remove and
reinstall the diff, rear ales and brake system to make it work every time
Ford repaired a fault in the car, I would never buy a Ford again. No wonder
Linux is fast becoming the OS of the future.

Did Ford install the hard drive?

No, a Microsoft certified engineer did. And the drive has worked perfectly
until SP1.
