Vista RTM and Legacy Drivers

I've been downloading and installing nearly every release of Longhorn and now
Vista since the first CTP's. In every case I was able to "get by" with the XP
drivers for my AT&T Plug&Share wireless modem and the on-board ASUS P4P800
motherboard 3Com 3c940 ethernet adapter. These drivers worked on the most
recent RC2 installation.

Neither of these drivers will function (Error Code: 10) in the RTM version.

I highly doubt the manufacturers are going to provide updated drivers for
this hardware. That's a dead end.

I'm not sure what my question is. I suppose I'll answer it for myself.

I need to either upgrade my motherboard or locate a PCI ethernet adapter
that is Vista compatible.

Looks like the motherboard option is the one that is most likely to remove
the growing pains here.

I got the same problem here. My network adapter is 3c905c-tx-m and I get the
same error code. I also got Uli chipset motherboard (939Dual-SATA2) and my XP
drivers do not work in RTM Vista.
