Vista RC2 ISO creates coasters

I've almost got enough drinks coasters for a dinner service with the number
of failed DVD burns I've had...

I have downloaded RC2, hash checks out.
I am using an NEC ND-3540A DVD RW drive, with Nero6. Running on Win MCE
2005.
Tried a dozen other DVD burning programs. Please don't suggest any other
programs, as no doubt I've tried it..
I burn the DVD, which works, but the end result claims to be an empty DVD. I
can visually see the burn attempt when I hold the DVD up to the light, so
something has been attempted.#

Any ideas?
I don't know much about ISO-13346, but might my drive or my media not be
compatible? - how can I tell?

Thanks

Richard.

How have you been attempting the burn? Have you been using the 'burn image
to disk' function in Nero?

Check the burner's documentation, and be certain that you are burning
the file as an IMAGE FILE, not a simple data burn to disk.

(Changed my name as I'd realised I'd mucked up in configuring my
newsreader!)

I'm using the DVD Image function in Nero Burning Rom (latest patches
applied). I'm definately not simply copying the file onto the DVD like I
would for a photo or an avi!

Definately not a simple databurn, but writing it as an image. Definately not
the software either, given I've tried virtually every other piece of
software out there.

Richard.
