Hi Kwopau :)

Try the following:

Burning ISO Images
http://onlinepubs.trb.org:80/onlinepubs/burning_iso.html

How to burn an ISO file:
http://iso.snoekonline.com/iso.htm

If still no joy, then just mount the ISO and install it that way, you don't
nned to burn the ISO to the DVD.
Use ths program - Daemon Tool - for mounting Vista ISO
http://www.free-downloads.net/programs/Daemon_Tools

Hope this helps.

oops; iso9660; but burncdc works great;free and simple; just browse for
the iso file you wanna burn and burncdcc grabs it.

Hi,
I'm not familiar with your software but you need to look for something that
allows
burning an IMAGE DVD. It won't require you to choose anything. I use NERO
both 6 and 7.

Hi Kwopau :)
Thanks, i got it to work, now it's taking a long time on the Completing
Upgrade~ How long does the upgrade last?

It does take a long time to upgrade than to do a clean install. IT first
must confirm and gather all the information from the original OS, and how
long it takes to do that depends on how many files and programs and such you
have installed. Then it has to do the upgrade and confirm that all the
files have been upgraded, and again, this depends on the size of the
original file. It also depends on the speed of your machine, etc. In the
upgrades I have done, it has taken anywhere from 2-5 hours, but, I have a
fairly new machine. On my older machine, it has taken much longer to
complete. However, I would say that if you see no movement on the progress
bar for at least on hour, then the install may have stopped. You should tary
to Cancel the install normally, in order to prevent any loss of the original
OS or files (which I assume you have backed up before trying the upgrade
just in case).

Hope this helps.

Hi Nero :)

Sorry, but, at what 'stage' do you mean? I don't see that Kwopau has
mentioned any particular stage of the install they were at when they posted
this message, nor do they mentioned at what time they began the install, or
how long it had been processing. Upgrades do normally take longer than
clean installs, and can take several hours to complete if there are a large
number of files and programs which must be processed prior to the upgrade
install process itself even starting. It also depends on their hardware,
processor speed, etc. It is only 'stuck' when there has been no movement on
the progress bar for at least an hour. Then the process should be terminated
normally if possible.

Hope this helps.

Sorry if I wasn't specific enough. Yes it did take a long time to upgrade.
And realizing that some programs didn't work afterwards, so I have decided to
do a clean install and so far no problem and as the clean install didn't take
that long. But thanks for all your help~
