Vista PPPoE

My ISP Cox does not support PPPoE so I don't need a username or password to
connect to internet. But everytime I try to connect to internet using Vista,
it asks for a username and password. How do I disable PPPoE or how can I
connect to internet without username or password.

Thanks,

From what I have been reading via searching Google, a common method to
rectify PPPoE problems, is to disable PPPoE on the modem and run it in
"Bridged Mode". Not sure of all the details pertaing to this and don't
have the time to do indepth research but apparently the following site
has some good information regarding this issue.

http://www.broadbandreports.com

and here's a link to a Cox specific FAQ:

They also have FAQ's for lots of other providers as well....happy
reading! :)

Hi
In order to answer your question you have to describe exactly what are you
connected to (Modem, Modem/Router, wire, wireless, model#, etc.).
