Vista Install Time

Will the final version install quicker than RC1?
What is the exact cause of it taking much time to install?
This is not going to be accepted very well in Retail Versions.
Is there any way to shorten the install time as of now?

Hi,
How long is it taking? Having installed Beta 2, RC1 5600 and RC1 5728, for
me it takes less time than XP ever did.

Takes me 22 minutes from start to finish for a clean Vista installation. XP
took around 40 minutes on the same hardware...so I'd say that's definitely
an improvement. Are you performing a clean or upgrade installation?

46 minutes Vista versus 22 minutes XP.
Clean Install
3.06 Ghz CPU
80 Gig Sata HD
ASUS M-Board onboard Video, Sound, Lan
