Vista Install BUG maybe???

G

Guest

Been running RC1 and all was well....Removed this hard drive and

Installed a new SATA hard drive to do a fresh install of Vista Business
(full retail version). My Data hard drive was left installed (PATA drive)..

Install went without a hitch, but when I removed the Vista DVD and rebooted
the system, it would not boot....only way to get it to book was to put the
Vista DVD back in, then Vista boots great...

I then removed the DATA drive, leaving only the SATA system drive,
reinstalled and then all worked great.. reconnected Data drive... success,
all is well again...

Just wanted to post for your info...this may be a BUG that Microsoft might
want to look into....

Note: computer is new and specifically designed for Vista (performance
rating 4.0)

Hello,
Check for BIOS updates, there were some BIOS issues around this type of
issue.
Thanks,
