the gadget is for windows vista contacts, not outlook's. you'd need to
import them into vista's contacts to use the in the gadget.

where do I find my vista contacts to import into?

You need to import the Outlook contacts into Vista Contacts and then you'll
see them in the gadget. Look on Vista contacts to see what formats they can
import from and go from there.
