vista compatability

I have a new pc with windows Vista and when I tried to install my MSN with
freedom security the application partially loaded and will not shut down or
uninstall. I tried to download a fix from adelphia for uninstallation , but
it will not complete because the freedom has to be shut down to be able to
uninstall. Would you have any suggestions or solutions. Any help would be
truly, I mean truly, be appreciated

Do it in safe mode. Might be much easier.

Also if there are any problems still, post error messages in the Event log.
