Vista Backup

Hi,

I hope someone can help. I've now given up on Vista, it's been so unstable
on my machine that I can't even restore the backup I made without it
crashing. Could someone please tell me if Windows XP can read the backup
files made by Vista as I don't want to lose everything?

If I were you, I would do a backup to a CDROM or DVD to be on the safe
side.....

Not even a backup, just copy your files over...!

Not an option I'm afraid. I re-installed Vista in the vain hope it would make
it more stable. Question is now do I spend all day trying to restore the
files using Vista or can I safely go back to XP and still get at my files?
