Vista Backup

Greetings,

I have 2 computers on a network at home. I am trying to backup files to the
other computer on the network. The Vista backup wizard allows me to select
the drive and even the folder on the other computer. However, when I click
NEXT I am prompted for a name and password to access the drive. I used the
one I have created for the other computer but I get the message....

"The network could not be accessed for the following reasons. The name
provided is not a properly formed account name. (0x80070523). Please ensure
that the network location is valid."

Hi WJD,

What operating system is the "other computer on the network" running?

Try entering the name of the account used to access the share in the form:

the_other_computer_name\the_account_name.

Doesn't work. I tried just as you described and the message comes up
"Unknown User Name or Bad Password". I have verified the name and password
which are correct... Still trying to figure this one out..

Can you verify which build you are running? Have you tried the most recent
build to see if the problem still exists?
