Vista Backup to Network Drive????????

Is this truly a restriction in the Backup facility in Vista that it is not an
option to do a full backup to a network drive? I have plenty of disk space on
a client in my network but directly connected to my Vista laptop.

Please confirm.

I backup to a network share without any problems. What's your setup look
like?

Paul,

Thanks for the reply. I have a D-link router with three clients, Vista on a
laptop, W2K3 Server and XP on a desktop. I have a network share from Vista to
the XP desktop. But when I start the Complete PC Backup it only shows my
second drive which is partitioned on the single drive in the laptop, and then
my externel drive connected to a USB port. But the external drive is only
40gb. The drop-dpwn box does not display the shared Y drive to the XP box.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Paul,

Also, correction. My original post should have said, plenty of space on a
client in my network, but NOT directly connected to my laptop. Sorry. My fat
fingers don't type so very good sometimes.
