Vista and outlook 2003 and windows mail

I have some old email messages that need to be imported into outlook 2003.
They were exported from Outlook express so will not directly import into
outlook.

apparently I will have to import them into windows mail, then export to
outlook.

My question is is this. We have one email account already set up in windows
mail, and another that is set up in outlook becuase we do not like having to
log on to a new identity on the computer just to check email and windows mail
no longer has the multipul identity features. So to get the old emails into
outlook will we have to create a new identity on the computer or can I import
the old emails into a specific folder so that it does not intermigle with the
current emails in windows mail. Then can I specificly export only that
folder to outlook?

Problem is the old computer flat out died (big sore issue, spent 300 bucks
and no one could get it running and it was only 2/5 years old, and it was not
a virus agg).

But interesting that outlook can have profiels and have multipuls users. We
might just use that. then and forget the windows mail. I have no issue with
either of them, I use outlook at work all the time.

Thanks.

You might try importing the old messages into Windows Mail and then
from Windows Mail into Outlook.

Well that was my initial question. Can I do that when I've already got an
email set up in windows mail without suddenly intermiggling the emails.
