Vista admin problem

HI. I installed my old Microsoft Office XP software on my new Vista laptop.
Outlook isn't working nearly as well as the trial of Outlook 2007, so I was
going to uninstall the XP software through control panel and it is telling me
"The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" and
the next pop-up box says I do not have sufficient access to perform that.
But I AM the system administrator!

Outlook 2002 (XP) does not work on Vista. Outlook 2003 and up do.

Any old version of Office works on Vista. It's Office 2003 & 2007 that don't
work on any Windows older than XP. The problem might be that you did not
install and uninstall the trial version properly and you have corrupted the
Microsoft Office default folder. Uninstall all versions of Office, reboot and
delete the Microsoft Office folder, reboot and reinstall Office 2002. To
uninstall when you get that "not administrator" message, just right click and
choose "Run as administrator."
