Viruse help please

My computer is infected with several viruses. I have spend two days
trying to figure out what to do. I ran an anti-virus program and it
said some were embedded and couldn't be removed or fix. The next time
I ran the program I had more, when from 7 to 11. So I guess it's
speading. Here are the names:

TROGAN HORSE DOWNLOADER.GENEIE.GS,
TROGAN HORSE DOWNLOADER.GENEIE.ixl
TROGAN HORSE DOWNLOADER.GENEIE.igt
TROGAN HORSE DOWNLOADER.GENEIE.kstbar
located in various places.

Any help on how to get rid of them or where to go, or who to see would
be appreciated.

JUST A GENERAL QUESTION: Since the purpose of these viruses seem to be
amoung other things is to redirect my browser to advertisement or to
sell me spyware removal, can't someone just trace those ads (many are
adult sites) and then find out who's behind the redirect. I think
there should be a mimimum sentence of 15 years for people who do this
kink of thing. I have loss control of my computer and it's costing me
time and money and a great deal of frustration.

Appreciate any assistance. Thank you

Download MULTI_AV.EXE from the URL --
http://www.ik-cs.com/programs/virtools/Multi_AV.exe

To use this utility, perform the following...
Execute; Multi_AV.exe { Note: You must use the default folder C:\AV-CLS }
Choose; Unzip
Choose; Close

Execute; C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT
{ or Double-click on 'Start Menu' in C:\AV-CLS }

NOTE: You may have to disable your software FireWall or allow WGET.EXE to go through your
FireWall to allow it to download the needed AV vendor related files.

C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT -- { or Double-click on 'Start Menu' in C:\AV-CLS}
This will bring up the initial menu of choices and should be executed in Normal Mode.
This way all the components can be downloaded from each AV vendor's web site.
The choices are; Sophos, Trend, McAfee, Kaspersky, Exit this menu and Reboot the PC.

You can choose to go to each menu item and just download the needed files or you can
download the files and perform a scan in Normal Mode. Once you have downloaded the files
needed for each scanner you want to use, you should reboot the PC into Safe Mode [F8 key
during boot] and re-run the menu again and choose which scanner you want to run in Safe
Mode. It is suggested to run the scanners in both Safe Mode and Normal Mode.

When the menu is displayed hitting 'H' or 'h' will bring up a more comprehensive PDF help

"NEVER download files from anywhere unless it is from the website of
the developer,manufacturer or some entity you trust. They ALWAYS have
the most up to date files that haven't been tampered with by some third
party who is "hosting"(read Leeching or Stealing) those files without
permission."-Fitz

Perhaps you should spend some time learning how to prevent
infections.(see below)
