virus detected

Ran a scan on computer lastnight,Norton detected Trogan
Horse, we fixed that problem with an upgrade. But when I
doublechecked my logs on attacks on my computer another
virus was detected 11/25/03 called a W32 Galil C@mm virus.
It was an email attachment ,anyway it affects your whole
system, steals info from your computer in alot of nasty
ways. It listed a bunch of fixes starting with turning
off Sysyem Restore,rebooting computer in Safe
Mode,updating virus,scanning computer and the toughie is
backing up Windows Registry .Ihave about 20 pages of
these instructions but with Windows XP that is difficult
because alot of files are encryted. HELP!!! Don't know if
I should get a pro to handle this or attempt it on my
own.What should I do???

Hi Sunny:

Most likely the virus is in quarantine,open up norton
anti-virus and look in the quarntine items list.if it's
there a simple delete is all you have to due.

I get attacks all the time but they never get past the
a/v you can set norton up to prompt you when these
happen.That way you know what's going on. Good Luck
