Virus protection

S

Scott

I just uninstalled Symantec antivirus program and normally Windows must warn
me about virus protection. However, I did not get any warning. I checked
Windows Security Centre and cannot find the normal three rows (Firewall,
Automatic Updates and Virus Protection) operation indicator. The pc is
using Windows XP Pro SP2. Can someone advise possible causes and fixes.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,

The first thing that you want to do is to install a good Anti virus program (I personally use AVG
free antivirus). The uninstallation of Norton anti-virus did not trigger a warning from the security
center, which could be due to a lot of reasons, including improper uninstallation of the product.
