Virus is changing taskbar color to grey and disables my sound

Hi there,

If anyone has ever experienced this also.

When I boot up my computer for the first few minutes it is normal.
Everything looks and works just fine. After 5 minutes, the taskbar
changes to the old windows grey either Windows 98 or 2000 style. My
sound goes out also.

I go to the control panel to look at my devices, everything is in
order. But it says "No Audio Device".

I updated all the drivers and change my taskbar style to the XP style.
ReBoot the computer and 5 minutes later, the taskbar changes back to
the grey style and the sound goes out also.

Anyone know what virus I got?

I ran a Virus scan with Avast!, Spybot, Ad-Aware to no avail.

Your posted subject "Virus is changing taskbar..." sounds like a faux assumption.

Not everything is viral related and not all malware are even viruses.

To me this sounds like a OS or User Registry corruption.
