Viewing pictures on some websites.

Aloha,
I cannot get pictures to show on two websites that are being run by the
same webmaster. I can view these sites on all other computers but this one.
I did see that on another site, I saw the pictures but it said that my Java
was either not on my computer or it was not enabled. How can I get to view
the two sites that I really want too? Please Help...Robert

Aloha !
Let's address the Java issue. Using Windows Explorer, see if you have this
folder "C:\Program Files\Java". If Java sub-folder not present, that
indicates you do not have it.
If so, go to http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
click the link to download the Windows (Offline Installation) package. Save
it to your HD. Do not run it .
After it is saved, then run it by double-clicking the saved file.
a.. Tip: Choose Custom Install and only install what you choose to
install!
IF you already have Java installed, check up on its version number. You
should have the latest one. At this time it is Version 5.0 Update 7

If you go to Add-Remove programs, you should see J2SE Runtime Environment
5.0 Update 7

If that is not what you see, remove the older Java entries by un-installing
any that are present, and then get the latest as noted above.

The latest version fixes some security issues.

Hi Robert,

You're most welcome. Are you saving the pictures on your local pc (maybe to your desktop) ? or do you mean they do not show in your browser (assuming you use I.E. If not, state which.)

Robert,

I'm not sure if this would address your problem or not, but on my system, my
browser security settings prohibit me from running java and activex controls
on some sites.

I recommend taking a look at your Internet settings and try adding the site
you wish to view to your trusted sites:
Internet Properties | Security | Trusted sites | Sites...

Aloha Maurice,
The pictures don't show on my browser. This is only on a select few
sites. When I right click on the mouse and click "show picture" the area
highlights for a second and does nothing. Thanks again for your help.

Aloha Kathy,
Thanks for you suggestions. I did that a couple of weeks ago and I
just checked again and it shows these sites approved.
