Viewer Picture Size

I have saved a lot of pictures from the internet but when I view them in
Windows Picture Viewer many are a lot smaller than I would like, basically
an image taking up maybe at most 20-25% of the screen (my math may be way
off but basically I mean there are huge white margins around the photos.
Some of these are great landscape photos but they lose a lot when viewed
essentially as miniatures. I recognize that photos with a portrait
orientation will always have a large left/right margin when displayed on my
monitor so I am really focusing here on photos with a landscape orientation.
I know I can click on each picture and enlarge it but I have to do it all
over again with the next one and the one after that, and so on. Some really
small images are also really small in terms of kb (say 8-15 kb) and maybe
that explains part of the problem. However, there are lots of others that
seem to be about the same size in terms of kb (say 85-90 kb) but some images
show up on screen as much larger. And a lot of pictures show up on screen
with the same image size but the sizes in kb are very different (say 60 v.
150 kb) Is there a way to have them all display full screen or at least
with less white margin around them? Or is there any way I can control the
way the displays appear?

Use IRFAN viewer instead of the windows picture/fax viewer. IRFAN viewer
has limited photo editing features, such as resize, color adjustment, and
save as.
