VIEDO CARD

I have VPR Matrix PC 2.26 GHz Pentium 4 CPU 1.00GB (this
is a OME Board) of memory NVIDIA Geforce FX 5700 card
with 256mb, using windows Xp home edition. It keeps
crashing lately with the error message Error Caused by
Graphics Device Driver-STOP 0x000000EA
THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER. Tech support told me to do
this Check to see what IRQ # my video card is on and what
other devices are sharing the same IRQ #. No other
devices should be sharing the same IRQ# as video card. To
reassign IRQ#s.

It is sharing with 1.(PCI 16) Intel 82801DB/DBM USB
universal host controller-24c2.

2. (PCI 16) NVIDIA Geforce FX 5700

How do i change this or if this a major promble

You must be useing a pci video card, agp cannot share, thats one of
the benifits of a agp card.In youre case, try installing to the 1st pci slot,
or the very top one.If thats were it is relocate the card, reinstall. Also
its OEM (original equitment mfg), not OME

First off, tech support is wrong again. The video card can share the
same IRQ with other devices. Mine is right now and probably the same
way as yours is. See attached image. Second, there is no such thing as a
PCI nVidia GeForce FX 5700 256 MB Video Card. Leave it in your AGP slot.

I have a couple of questions. First, how do you know it is the video
card that is causing this problem? Have you installed the latest WHQL
drivers from nVidia (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_61.76).
Also, make sure that you have your chipset drivers up to date:

DO you have a NIC plugged into the PCI slot [long white ones adjacent to the
AGP slot which the Video card should be in]?

If so move it as far away as you can. There is one peculiar problem that
NICs can cause problems which are not properly diagnosed, and I have yet to
read anywhere as to the exact nature and description of the technical isuues
involved, however moving them away from AGP slot is a fix and I have done
this on a few of my customers' PCs.

I have 3 other items sharing IRQ 16 along with my
video card. You may have a corrupted driver.
Go to Nvidia's web page to download the latest
driver for your video card. Follow the directions
explicitly. Traces of old drivers can cause this
behavior.
