Video problem in Powerpoint 2000 in Windows Vista?

I have a Powerpoint presentation that played video fine in Windows Xp
using Office 2000. After moving to Vista, when I click to play the
video from the presentation, I first get a message like "Some files
can contain viruses...Would you like to open this file?", which is
fine and I say Yes. I then get a message that states "PowerPoint
couldn't locate or start ...". The presentation and video are in the
same folder. I have tried re-selecting the video clip. the video clips
are mpg files. I can play them fine from Windows Media Player. Please
help.
