VGA Controller

I just reformatted my comp with windows XP home and updated and installed all
drivers but now everytime I reboot the system it just keeps rebooting or
shuts down all the way.
This started when I updated the video driver which is SIS based 741.
As long as I keep it disabled the comp works fine but I can't play any games
or watch any movies.... Any ideas what this might be???
I got the drivers from the SIS website.
The Comp is an Award system with Award/Pheonix motherboard so I'm told by
the guy who made it.

Can you reboot and start in Safe Mode? F8

Then uninstall the video drive and it will reinstall on a standard reboot?
Or DL the latest BIOS, motherboard drivers, Windows updates, etc ?
