vexira antivirus program

I have been asked to look into an antivirus program to use for a public
school system. It is at www.centralcommand.com and it is called Vexira. I
had never heard of it. Has anyone used it? Does anyone have any feedback
on the plusses or minusses with this program?

Currently we are using Symantec Enterprise, but someone told me that this
Vexira program was able to detect viruses more thoroughly than Symantec. I
am skeptical!!

Thanks in advance

This Vexira seems suspicious and is probably malicious so don't use it.

Of course Symantec is better than that.

Never heard of it. It sounds like something for erectile dysfunction.

On their web site, under :"Latest Vexira Updates," it says 02/03/2006. If it
hasn't been updated in a month, it has to be among the worst products
available. The key to successful anti-virus protection is frequent updates.
Any decent program will have at least daily updates. I use Avast, and it's
already had two updates today.

I agree about Vexira not being included, but maybe that says something about
the product??? I don't think anyone on this board, including myself, has
ever heard of this product before my posting. That in itself makes me wary
of it.

I thank everyone for taking some time to offer their input.

Insite [sic]? Insight into what? Vexira isn't even listed on that page.

To me even more important than who has or hasn't heard of it is the lack of
frequency of their updates. That completely rules it out of consideration,
as far as I'm concerned.

I took a closer look at the date. It is shown as 02/03/2006 but under that
it says dd/mm/yyyy so it apparently is March 2, not February 3

Thanks, that sounds much better. But if I were them, I'd say either March 2,
2006 or 2 March, 2006, not 02/03/2006. That's just an invitation for people
to get confused.

I agree. Very misleading.
