very slow shutdown

When shutting down, get window stating the ccApp is processing, that fniishes
pretty quickly, but then it takes the machine several minutes to shut down.
This has only been a problem for last couple of weeks. Norton, Spybot,
Ad-aware all okay. Yes, cookies, history, etc. deleted. Did internal
diagnostics but didn't come up with anything. Any ideas out there? Windows
XP Home with Pack 2
