Version number missing

When I select Help from the tool bar then About Internet Explorer the
dialogue box does not display the Version number or any other details. The
dialogue box is almost completely white and appears to be missing the IE
graphics that should are displayed on other PC’s. Furthermore when I go to
certain pages the imbedded graphics are missing at the bottom of the IE
screen its states X item to open (or something similar)

Any ideas!

Thanks for trying Vincenzo but my problem is different from the one you found
a solution for. We have several PC with missing information in the About
Internet Explorer dialogue box. We can't see the logo, we can see the word
Version but no number, we can see Cipher Strength but no value, we can see
product ID but no value, we can see Update Version but no version number and
we can also see the Microsoft legal stuff in the box.

We're also having the problem downloading embedded graphics within web
pages. The browser states it’s attempting to download the graphics but
nothing appears.

This is a real puzzle any info would be appreciated
