Verification software needed

I'm looking for software that will let me know if an email has been
received. Something that doesn't require the recevier to respond.

Any Ideas?

I am looking for something that works behind the scene from the user and the
receipent. I would prefer it to work from the Exchange server, but I only
have 3 or 4 users who need this so if I had to install it on their computers
it wouldn't be a problem.

If all the users are in your Exchange organization, then Outlook tracks read reciepts automatically if the original sender requests one. Of course, the results are not reliable, since the receipt is generated when the user opens the message, but not when they view it in the preview pane. Some of the tools I suggested may have intraorganization variations in addition to their service options.
