V-Com/Avanquest Systemsuite & other Applications suddenly close/cr

My PC utility program, Systemsuite 8, suddenly closes when I click on their
Cleanup-RegistryCleaner-Advanced button. Avanquest tell me this is a problem
caused by Windows XP. Win XP will close or crash programs suddenly. Another
application program that has this problem is Supercharts. Also Ad-aware now
hangs when downloading. I also have problems with VisualStudio 2005 debugging.

Is there anyone else with these types of problems over the past few months?

Is there any remedy in sight from Microsoft?

Use autoruns from http://www.sysinternals.com to disable all third party
application, services etc and then see if the issue persists. make sure you
have the latest updates installed and the system is clean. If the issue still
persists, you would need to get the application crash dump analyzed by the
vendor or MS tech support

Thank you for your suggestion. However my application programs do not produce
a crash dump. So I have nothing to send. Avanquest are a large software
utility company and have been getting this problem for quite a while. Also I
see quite a long list of program problems in this forum and others. In this
thread I was hoping people might add the names of their problem applications
- and perhaps if Microsoft tech support read this thread, they might say
we're working on it and a fix could be out in days, weeks, months, years.
