I have two sound cards: an NVIDIA chipset on the mainboard and an old but
very usable Turtle Beach Montego II. (The TB card, an eight-year old unit,
is quieter and generally sounds better.)
I have three applications that I use to listen to Internet radio and CDs:
* Windows Media Player
* Media Player Classic
* Winamp
The configuration panels within each of the apps makes it look as though,
for example, MPC could be set to run through the NVIDIA chipset, while
Winamp could be configured to run through the TB card. However, when I try
to set that up, the change that I make in the application appears to change
the global setting. Am I doing something wrong, or is it simply impossible
to run application audio through different devices?
