an error occurred while validating the system for installation

I've been trying to install the Feb CTP 5308 release on my home rig, and I
keep getting the same response to the install. Whether I try the x86 or the
x86_64 version I get the same error right after I select the partition to
install.

"an error occurred while validating the system for installation"

and the installer quits.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.


Athlon 64 3200+
Abit KV8-Pro Motherboard (VIA KT400Pro Chipset, socket 754)
PNY Nvidia GeForce 6600GT AGP
"Emprex" 16X DVD Burner
Promise Fasttrack SX4000 Lite Raid Card
Turtle Beach Montego DLL Sound Card (CMI chipset)
VIA Firewire card
