Using the contact autocomplete function in Outlook 2007

Dear all,

There is a function in Windows Live Hotmail that when I key in my friend's
email address, the drop-down list appears my friend's email. There is no
record of my friend's name. The autocomplete function uses the email address
as the keyword. In Outlook 2007, however, the autocomplete function uses the
contact's name to create the drop-down list. For example:

In Hotmail:
The email is (e-mail address removed) and I did not enter the name
information.
When I key in peter, the drop-down list appears (e-mail address removed)

In Outlook 2007:
When I key in peter, there is no list appeared.

I know that this is complicated but please try to understand my situation -
I never add the name information to my contacts, so I am currently having
this problem...

Thank you.

Have you ever mailed him from Outlook?

Outlook doesn't use contacts to populate the dropdown list, it uses a
list of addresses you have previously mailed.
