Using Roboform With Mozilla/Netscape

B

Buzz

Hello,

Since installing AI Roboform, I have realized that I cannot do without
it. It has spoiled me. BUT I really, really want to switch to
Netscape/Mozilla. I hate IE. Roboform has an adapter for NS/MZ and I
tried to get it to work with NS 7.1 and it did so, but just this side
of sporadically. I was wondering if anyone is using any of the Gecko
browsers and Roboform successfully together. I know Mozilla has a
forms manager, but I paid for Roboform and want to keep using it. I am
hoping it is OK to ask this here in the freeware forum since half of
my question has to do with freeware. :)

Thanks in advance!

Buzz,
I know what you mean about buying software and wanting to get your
money's worth. However, sometimes that's simply not possible and you
have to just put the disc in the closet when something better comes
along. And as time goes by, sometimes free software becomes available
that's actually better than something that you've bought in the past.
The whole reason that I've become such a freeware advocate is that
commercial software is grossly overpriced and I got tired of laying
out tons of money for basically crap that became outdated in about 6
months time.
My advice is to try installing Moz 1.6 (the final just came out)
and giving the forms manager a try.

AI Roboform can be integrated (and can be installed with) the Avant
Browser, which is a tabbed IE-shell type browser. Avant is excellent - give
it a try:

You can also use Roboform with Mozilla 1.x and also Firebird 0.7 by means
of a downloadable plugin:

John,
Wonder if the Moz forms manager could manage this?

Wow. Hard to say. I don't use credit cards, use form fillers or shop
on the internet so I couldn't tell you.

As for Roboform, maybe Buzz is having problems that he needs to
contact the company about. After all, he did pay for the pro version.

I hardly ever use IE anymore, preferring Mozilla Firebird. It's great now that
Roboform supports FB, but it is a lot slower filling compared to IE.
