Using pre-printed letterhead

I have business stationary which I would like to set up as a template so I
may type letters directly on the letterhead to enable me to send the
documents electronically without creating PDF files. Is this possible?

Probably not in the way you imagine.

For starters you have no control over how the recipient will view e-mail
messages and the cautious amongst them will view messages in plain text,
thus negating your efforts.

If you wish to pursue this, your best bet is to setup stationery in your
e-mail application that roughly matches your letterhead, but only the PDF
will ensure that the recipient sees exactly what you intend.
