Using Epson 6x4 Premium Glossy in an i9100

I have 100+ sheets of the above and have ditched my ESP895 for the Canon. As
I hate waste, I want to use up the stocks of Epson media I have. The thing
is though, whilst the print quality is very acceptable, the positioning
isn't. Canon perforated 6x4s have the same amount of tear-off all the way
round, the Epson media has more at the top (it's about twice as wide as that
on the other two sides). I have tried in vain (OK, I've wasted four pieces)
to get it lined up correctly, but I've not been successful.

Has anyone had any success using Epson media in a Canon (particularly in a
higher end 'i' series))? If so, how did you set it up so that the borders
were correct?

Thanks

I just bought the s9000, and I also have Epson 4x6 perforated paper I
want to use up. I don't know what software you're using to print, but
I've had some success printing from Photoshop 7 using a custom paper
size of 6.875" x 4.5". After setting up the paper size in the canon
driver, I then use Print with Preview in photoshop to position my 4x6
image. The longer tab is .625" wide, and the other three sides are
about .117" wide. If you feed the paper with the long tab feeding
through last, the long tab will be at the bottom of a portrait
orientation, and on the right edge of a landscape orientation.
Position your image accordingly with the dimensions given above, and
you should have a correct print.

You could also use the custom document size in your photo software,
and then position your 4x6 image on the document with the above
dimensions. When you go to print, you'll get a warning that the image
is larger than the printing area, and some clipping will occur. Tell
it to proceed, and you should get a correctly positioned print.

You may want to overprint slightly (image slightly larger than 4x6) if
you absolutely must not have a hint of white after you tear off the
perforated edges.

Cheers, m'dear! I shall give it a whirl! Yes I'm running PS7 too - I'll have
a play around this afternoon!

Ta muchly!
