Using different POP accounts with Exchange Server

John Dumay

Hi,

I access my work e-mail on my PC using an Exchange Server account. It is
configured so that when i use an external internet account it will contact
the server and i can send and receive email as normal. But my problem is that
I have several other e-mail accounts with diffeerent providers, eg gmail, and
several personal accounts for different domains for different companies and
organisations i am involved in. I am able to download all the email OK but
when I use different email service providors (for example I am in a hotel) i
have to change the outgoing mail server in each account (i have 5) to be able
to get the mail to be sent.

Is there an easier way to do this or jsut one place i need to change the
server name or am i just stuck with it?

Regards,

John

John,

As Roady mentioned, it depends on the security setting of the provider. A
work around is to create one account that has the outgoing mail server info
(for when you are in a hotel for example) and then use that account to send
the message (just modify the 'From' field (view->From Field) to contain the
return address (i.e., (e-mail address removed))

You don't use the From field to change accounts. You use the Accounts
button.
