Just found something I had no idea about regarding Windows XP and the
burning software supplied with it. I run Nero 6 ultra for DVD burning and
when I want to burn a CD I have been using my DVD burner also, rather than
chnge the 'enable recording on this drive' which i would have to do, if i
switched back to the LG for cd burn. There is no way XP is gonna allow both
drives to be enabled for burning when using the Roxio imbedded software.
BUT, I can remove the check mark from the DVD burner and still use Nero
on it. And my CD burner is 'enabled' thru the XP software.. Both are
available without changing anything. This wasn't obvious to me and I thought
to pass it on. I learn something every day about PCs...
