users with 2000 advanced server

Hi,

Our Windows NT 4.0 PDC crashed and we replaced it with a W2K advanced
server.

The thing I dont understand is why I cant insert a user in the admin group
(from the PDC list) like we used to do with NT 4.0 ?
I always get an error message (something like it cant find the server)

Anyne knows why ?

Hi,

the Nt server was death and we had no BDC.

So I only installed 2000 advanced server and made it PDC with the same
domain name.

my problem is probably the DNS setup ... (local.domainname)

But how can I set up an intranet DNS and an internet DNS ? By just adding
the server ip address in the DNS list ? Problem is I have some laptops using
DHCP and all other workstations using static address.

Damn, I think Ill just go back to NT 4.0.
