Adding a W2K server to existing WINNT domain with Exchange Server

How would I go about adding a W2K server to an existing
Windows NT 4.0 domain in which the PDC has Exchange Server
5.5 on it.
My goal is to make the new W2K machine the new PDC with
active directory and also having Exchange Server 2000 on
the W2K machine that will take the place of the current
Exchange Server 5.5 that is on the NT PDC.

Thanks in advance.

That's a tricky situation, but it can be simplified by promoting an existing
BDC to be the new PDC and then upgrading it to Active Directory.

I'm not sure of the implications of Exchange 5.5 in this. Intuition tells
me that it should continue to work while it's on what will become a BDC.
You should then migrate or upgrade Exchange (probably best to ask in an
Exchange group for information on this). Lastly, upgrade the BDCs once
you're happy with the Exchange setup.

Thanks for the reply.
It seems that the existing NT 4.0 PDC would have to be
first upgraded to W2K, Since W2K does not have PDCs and
BDCs. Additional input would be appreciated.
