CdburnerXp works ok with the Cdr/Cdrw (700MB)
but it does not work properly with DVD 4.7 GB disc
It is ok for the first session, when i try to add further
files, the process finishes without any error messages
but the cd becomes un-accessible. Here i am talking
about the DVD+RW(writable) disks.
I have also DirectCd installed, does that caused the
problem?
My OS is WINme
Does it work OK with DVD 4.7 GB disc in
WindowsXP
Any help would be appreciated.

AAH;

I have *no* experience burning multi-session dvd+rw. However, what you
describe has been listed as a known bug by the developers of cdburnerxp:
http://www.cdburnerxp.se/download.php. They make it sound like an issue
with the s/w, not the OS btw.

Their forums are pretty responsive. I'd strongly suggest you post what
you have here. http://www.cdburnerxp.se/forum/

regards,
Sparky

p.s. let us know how it turns out

Rubbish. I use ME, and can create and read multisession DVD+RW. However, I
use an OT payware burner.

Win98 also reads/writes multi-session DVD's

Can you please name the software?
I have ECDC5 basic which can create
multisession DVD+RW but only one
session on DVD+R/DVD-R
Mine WinMe cannot read any multi DVD+R
or DVD-R.
I understand from the sources that it is the
WinMe OS not the burning software.
Some more information would be very much
appreciated.

Only Windows XP can read a multi-session DVD.

I have a NEC 3500 and I use [OT] Nero for multi-session DVD's.
I found that [OT] Roxio doesn't cut it as well as Nero.
There may be a freeware solution that I am not aware of. Others in acf
may be able to offer their help in that department )

I refer you to a quote from your original post ....
.... Here i am talking
.... about the DVD+RW(writable) disks.

And MikeS's reply ....
.... Only Windows XP can read a multi-session DVD.

And my reply to MikeS, regarding DVD+RW....

I don't use DVD+R/DVD-R so cannot make a comment.
