It seems your machine is/has been infected by several viruses. Save all your
data and EMail files, then reinstall Windows onto a freshly formatted disk.

You are on the right track to fix what sounds like a common symptom of
a malware infection that is not completely healed.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware
detection programs:

Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if desired.

The scanners usually remove the malicious software, but you have a
little registry work to do to finish the job.

Backup your registry first:

Then read this article from MS:

recently, I use avast to kill some virus and sas kill trojan, at last Ihave
to reinstall Windows XP. In fact, I reinstalled quite many times and I found a
virus called VRTE.TMP always was killed bye AVAST after I finished
installation. And always find vrte.tmp when I insert RJ45 to my interface,
and my lan infected virus ? thank you.

Burn BitDefender, or another program listed at the link below, to a CD
(using a working machine) and test the infected machine with it.
BitDefender also has a Rootkit checker on the Linux Desktop; run it if
you think that's the problem:

http://www.techmixer.com/free-bootable-antivirus-rescue-cds-download-list/

Download the executable rather than the .iso image, if one is
available.. it prompts you to insert a CD and burns the file, no problem.

Then run these:

Malwarebytes© Corporation
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam/program/mbam-setup.exe

SuperAntispyware
http://www.superantispyware.com/superantispywarefreevspro.html
